Ohana Youth
Grades 5-8
Ohana Youth is a fun and inclusive performance based class that fosters an environment of collaboration and creativity as they create a full musical production. This class give students the opportunity to learn and grow in their knowledge and understanding of theatre, blocking, and choreography. We will cater to all levels of experience, and is the perfect opportunity for students who want to continue growing in their craft, as well as those who want to try it out for the first time!

Get ready for Ohana's summer session
beginning June 9, 2025
Learn proper vocal techniques to gain confidence as a singer. Create powerful stories as an actor through song. Gain confidence as a musical theatre dancer as you learn standard combos and routines. Class ends with a final showcase on the last day of class in the studio.

In Musical Theatre Workshop students will work on:

Vocal Technique - gain confidence in your singing abilities through proper breath support, placement, dynamics and sound.

Musical Theatre Performance - Connect the power of storytelling with and through song.

Individual song work - Learn tools and apply to a solo piece.

Musical Theatre Dance - Work on fun musical theatre ensemble pieces as a group bringing together dance, song, and story.

ABOUT THE SHOW:
Journey "under the sea" with Ariel and her aquatic friends in Disney's The Little Mermaid JR., adapted from Disney's Broadway production and the motion picture (featuring the enormously popular Academy Award-winning music and delightfully charming book and lyrics). Based on one of Hans Christian Andersen's most beloved stories, Disney's The Little Mermaid JR. is an enchanting look at the sacrifices we all make for love and acceptance.

In a magical underwater kingdom, the beautiful young mermaid, Ariel, longs to leave her ocean home — and her fins — behind and live in the world above. But first, she'll have to defy her father, King Triton, make a deal with the evil sea witch, Ursula, and convince the handsome Prince Eric that she's the girl whose enchanting voice he's been seeking.​
